Down Dog in Full Season

Down Dog in Full Season

With less than a month before we close until Thanksgiving and Christmas, a few more guests and the first of our 3 teacher training installments (Oct 10-18) things begin to feel a little like another closure here. We truly met some amazing people at different stages of life this season and enjoyed and learned from all of it. As the colors turn, as we look forward to Shakta’s Womens’ Weekend Oct 2-4 I enjoy every morning walk with blind kitty Lucy because I know before long, and after Italy, I will be in NYC living a different teaching life for our off season. Thank you for reading and being a part of Sewall House.

Look under links to see Brian’s new blog, inspired by his fellow Sewall House retreat guest Sonia- good (and quick!) job Brian and multitudinous gratitude!IMG_0228 Here is Brian during his first Sewall House stay!

DSC01511 We have been having a wonderful season; here is a group chanting Sa Re Sa Sa in an evening Kundalini Yoga class. This week Angela La Spisa came to record with Kent but had so much going on that rather than rush  the recording project we had the honor to have her lead  three morning Ashtanga classes in the pure Ashtanga tradition as taught by Patabhis Jois. While I practice Mysore style with Eddie Stern in NYC here at the retreat I teach more free style in the am class (based on what I also study with Dharma Mittra and Genny Kapuler) so it was a chance for our guests to have a fabulous guest teacher and presentation. We look forward to more guests until we close Oct 18 and to our first third of teacher training Oct 10-18. Italy starts Oct 27. Good news! Brain, who visited us two years ago and is now returning to NJ after 5 days here with us to start HIS teacher training (yeah Brian) is our 3rd cat allergic guest who had no problem this summer despite Lucy, Annie and Shanti!
